Morning light

I'll admit, my transition from one to two kids has been rough. So one thing I've been doing to start the day off right is to take the girls on a walk early each morning.

You never realize the beauty you are missing.

I sometimes get sad about the fact that I live in the city. I'm a country girl at heart, and feel more myself when I'm surrounded by a wide, open space. A park not too far from our house has some awesome mature trees. And if you couldn't see the houses in the background, it almost makes it feel like you are out away from everything.

It takes my breath away to see the sun peeking out behind the mountain in the morning, and slowly spread its warmth over everything. Kind of like it's saying "wake up," and bringing everything to life.

So I guess I'm glad Cheyenne is a little crazy in the morning. Otherwise, I would never see all this beauty that is around me.

This was on a day Friend #1 (Cheyenne) decided to wake up at 5:30am. So she was already pretty tired by time it was time for our walk.

  1. I am sorry your transition has been tough. Although I will say that I am a little relieved that I'm not the only one with a toddler that wakes up at the crack of dawn... Loved the pictures! Your girls are darling.

  2. So cute and so pretty. Way to be positive...and Delaney's blanket is really adorable:)
