Pretty sure it will be spring in heaven

Back in May I went for a walk in my favorite park at the height of spring. We live in a small(ish) town, and sometimes I have the park to myself. The blossoms danced prettily in the gusts of wind, the sun played peek-a-boo with the petals as I snapped picture after picture, trying to capture this beautiful, beautiful world and the euphoria I felt. I'm pretty sure it will be spring in heaven.

I think a lot about the seasons. Why is it that spring bursts forth but is fleeting? It's interesting to me that our Heavenly Father signifies new growth with the most beautiful creation on earth-- flowers. But that beauty fades and eventually gives way to miles and miles of green leaves that last all summer long. It's those green leaves that will be the backdrops to our picnics, the shade to our hikes, and cast long shadows as we soak in those last drops of long summer days. Just something I think about.

  1. These pics are so pretty. You have a great eye. Btw, I loooove your new floral header.
