He Lives

I have had Jesus Christ in my life since I was a little girl. I was lucky enough to grow up in a home where I was taught about him and his importance in my life.

That isn't to say that I've had a perfect testimony of his sacrifice for me for my whole life. Like any person, I've had to work at it.

I've realized looking back over my life how much I've grown in my knowledge of Christ's sacrifice, and of his love for me. I've seen examples of where life can take people when they don't have this knowledge. Although I personally haven't been through very many "trials of faith" in my life so far, I can say that Christ has changed me for the better.

The more I learn of Him and what he did for me, personally, the more I want to be a better person. The more I think about the sacrifice he made for my personal sins, the more I want to lessen his burden.

I may not become perfect while in this life, but I know of a perfect example who gave all so that we could be free. Free from the weight of sin, free from pain and sorrows, and free from our own weaknesses and frailties.

This I know to be true.
