Cheyenne Lately

Back in February

If you haven't seen Cheyenne in person lately, she's started to grow a little bit of hair! This particular Sunday she even let me put a bow in it. If I put hair spray in it it has some cute little curls in the back. This makes us think she has her dad's hair, since mine has always been stick straight.

Big girl bed! Ha ha yeah that lasted for like a day, in which she decided to pound on the door instead of take a nap. Then I put the crib sides back up.

A typical sleeping position for Cheyenne. She has to have her baby, her teddy, and a "blankie." She never sleeps in the covers or uses her pillow, and I usually find her curled up in a ball in the corner of her crib somewhere.

Carrying around a toaster by the cord. Can you see that little curl on the side of her head?

Getting Cheyenne dressed in the morning. This is my FAVORITE time of the day. Pictures cannot capture how cute a toddler is. It's kind of like how you have to hold a newborn yourself, you have to be around a toddler to experience their cuteness. I strip her down to her diaper and then she climbs up onto that bench (behind her) and thinks the curtains are her "hat," and dances around and jumps up and down. All the while I am telling her to come down and get dressed.

Ben has these old radio headphones he likes to use to mow the lawn. Cheyenne LOVES them and asks to put them on whenever they are out.

We thought she looked like Nacho Libre with this outfit on. So we tell her to let up her arms and say, "La Luchador!" She thinks it is so cool.

This is what happens when you take a shower while your toddler is awake. A whole box of tissues destroyed.

  1. Cute! thanks for the reminder that you can think of toddlers as cute rather than... um, challenging? I should think of Ellie in that way more often:) I hope we can come visit you next month- we're going to be in Utah for a few days!
