For Sarah

I can't believe my baby will be 1 month on Christmas Eve. She is so sweet and we just love to hold her, cuddle with her, and kiss her (yes Cassidy, we DO kiss babies!).

So far she's hit a few milestones.
1. She's grown out of one thing-- a preemie outfit!
2. Finally starting to fill out newborn clothes.
3. Her head is finally big enough for a few headbands.
She's tiny but that's why we love her!

My sister Sarah made her this cute tutu (she also made them for Alice and Eliza) and requested a photo shoot.

Here you go sis!

Halloween Fun

A couple of weeks ago we went to Cornbelly's to go to the corn maze. It was fun, we went in the afternoon and there were hardly any people there.

Here is Ben in front of an old tractor. He loves old tractors. One day he wants to buy one and restore one when we have our own place.

Oh wow I didn't know I was so bad at these things!

I may have married a cow-boy, but not a cowboy.

I thought this was a cool idea. It was a little scary, and when you went inside you could hear his heart beating. I'm sure it freaked the little kids out.

These little pigs were so cute. They reminded me of Charlotte's Web. Maybe we'll get some pigs someday (but I'm afraid ours won't fair as well as Wilbur!).

Here I am on a pedal cart. Ben loved them of course.

On our way to our "date" at stake institute!

Who said I don't have a big belly?!

We carved pumpkins with our neighbors one night. Ours is the haunted house in the middle. They did the two on the sides. I didn't carve one, Ben's got enough talent for both of us.

I went to our ward's flag football game. The one time they have a team and I can't play because I'm pregnant! They were pretty awesome, it started snowing and was freezing.

Halloween party! I went as a globe and Ben as Atlas (holding up the world). We were a hit!

Ben's birthday suit!!! Ha! I don't know why he wanted to pose with Circuit Cellar, his favorite magazine. He is such a dork. Lookin' good with the haircut I gave him.

Brad Paisley, Movie Night & Conference

I guess I'm really getting into these combination posts. Or maybe it's because I'm a lazy blogger!

We went to see Brad Paisley when he came to Salt Lake. We decided that we wanted to do one big "fun" thing before the baby came. We both love Brad Paisley so it was really fun for us. We actually had surprisingly good seats, considering we only bought our tickets the week before.

No, we weren't THIS close. Brad Paisley decided to come and sing to us poor folks, where he said he used to sit when he'd go to concerts. It was pretty cool. With Darius Rucker as his opening act, and perfect weather sitting in an outdoor ampitheatre, it was an awesome evening.

My sister Haley and her husband Greg are really into watching all the Star Wars movies. Greg also happens to work at Brick Oven, a pizza place. We happen to have a projector, perfect for watching movies. If you put all these things together you come up with Dinner & Movie Night with the Burrs! So I decided to change the tablecloth for the occasion, and I just happened to have this checkered one my good friend Emily Sorenson made me back in high school because we loved to go on picnics. Anyway, I made it really festive, brought out candles and played Italian music (sort of)! It was a fun evening.

Last item of business: Conference. Haley & Greg had tickets to the Saturday afternoon session and got tickets for us as well! It was great, even if we did have to sit all the way up in the balcony. Afterward we walked around Temple Square and of course had to check out the construction for Ben.

Wish I didn't have to but...

We went private. I know, it's really inconvenient, I'd be the first to tell you that.

But when people you don't know start following your blog it makes you think that maybe posting your life for the whole world to see isn't such a good idea. (P.S. You should check your "stats" on your blog to see how people are finding their way onto yours)

I don't want someone to break into my house and eat some of our chocolate chips. Or worse.

Such is life in this fallen sphere.

Montana and some picture treats for you

A couple of pictures to share with you all.  We went to visit Ben's grandparents for Labor Day in Montana. I got to go inside of my favorite mansion that they've turned into a museum. It was beautiful!

Love the silk damask on the walls and that molding!

Gorgeous staircase. All the floors, stairs, etc. are original to the 1900 house.

I have this thing for window seats.

Beautiful entryway

Such a classy dining room. It was about here we realized we weren't supposed to be taking pictures. Whoops.

In front of the mansion. It has 25 rooms and 15 bathrooms!

The tree-lined driveway. Picturesque.

Montana is beautiful!

Next item of business: I sewed a hooded towel, thanks to instructions from my sister Sarah. It is probably the cutest thing you have ever seen. I can't wait to put my baby in it :)

I painted a frame for Ben to take to work so he won't forget what I look like! I have this thing for Winnie the Pooh. This is a favorite quote of his:
And yes, I just realized I spelled "Winnie" wrong. Oh well, it the thought that counts.

I'm in charge of the Flake Family Yearbook this year. For one of the pages I wanted to get a picture of everyone in our family having FHE, all over the nation. This is a cheezy pose but here's me & Ben having Family Home Evening:

29.5 weeks!!
P.S.- Thanks for the maternity shirt Mel.
